1. Introduction & Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Rowllr.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Rowllr platform, including our website, applications, tools, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Rowllr.

Rowllr is a creator-first platform that allows creators to publish, distribute, and monetize their content with full freedom, similar to running their own personal website or brand. Rowllr provides the technology, infrastructure, and tools — creators control their content, pricing, and audience.

By accessing or using Rowllr, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.

If you are using Rowllr as a creator, reader, subscriber, or business, these Terms apply to you equally.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Service.

1.1 Related Policies

These Terms should be read together with the following documents, which are part of this agreement:

  • Privacy Policy – explains how we collect and use your data
  • Community Guidelines – explains what content and behavior is allowed
  • Refund & Payment Policy – explains payments, payouts, refunds, chargebacks, taxes, and fees

By using Rowllr, you agree to all of the above policies as well.

1.2 Changes to These Terms

Rowllr may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the platform, laws, or features.

When we make material changes, we will notify you through the platform or by email.

Your continued use of Rowllr after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

  • Membership-only posts
  • Exclusive or early access content

Creators are free to set subscription prices, access rules, and included benefits.

3. About Rowllr (Our Service)

Rowllr is a creator-first platform that provides tools to publish, share, and monetize digital content. Creators use Rowllr as their own branded space to connect with their audience and earn directly from their work.

Rowllr helps with discovery, distribution, and payments, but does not control how creators create, price, or present their content.

Rowllr is a technology platform, not a publisher or editor. We do not review, approve, or take responsibility for creator content.

Revenue Share Model:

Creators earn 100% of their revenue (with Pro/Plus else 90%) from paid content. Rowllr may charge separate fees for optional tools, subscriptions, or payment processing, which are clearly communicated.

3.1 Platform Revenue Share (The "Platform Fee")

Rowllr operates on a transparent revenue-share model based on your plan:

  • Free Plan: Creators keep 90% of the sales revenue. Rowllr deducts a 10% Platform Fee at the source to maintain the technology and services. The amount reflected in your "Wallet" is your Net Earning.
  • Pro/Plus Plan: Creators keep 100% of the sales revenue. Rowllr charges 0% Platform Fee.

3.2 Payout Processing Fee (The "Banking Fee")

Since Rowllr acts as your merchant of record to handle global payments, gateways, and currency conversion, significant banking costs are involved. To keep this simple and predictable for creators:

  • We apply a flat 8% Payout Processing Fee on all withdrawals.
  • This 8% covers all third-party costs, including Payment Gateway charges (domestic & international), Currency Conversion fees (Forex), and Payout Transfer fees.

Note: Actual processing costs often exceed 15-25% (especially for international transactions), but Rowllr absorbs the difference to ensure you never pay more than 8%.

Example Calculation:

  1. Free Plan: If you sell content worth $100 or ₹100:
    • Platform Share (10%): $10 / ₹10 is deducted. Your Wallet shows $90 / ₹90.
    • Withdrawal: When you withdraw the $90 / ₹90, an 8% processing fee ($7.20 / ₹7.20) applies.
    • You Receive: $82.80 / ₹82.80 directly in selected payout method.
  2. Pro/Plus Plan: If you sell content worth $100 or ₹100:
    • Platform Share (0%): $0 / ₹0 is deducted. Your Wallet shows $100 / ₹100.
    • Withdrawal: When you withdraw the $100 / ₹100, an 8% processing fee ($8 / ₹8) applies.
    • You Receive: $92 / ₹92 directly in selected payout method.

Rowllr's role is limited to facilitating the service, providing infrastructure, and enabling creators and users to interact.

4. Eligibility & Account Registration

  • You may use Rowllr only if you are legally allowed to do so under applicable laws.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use Rowllr
  • You must provide accurate and up-to-date information when creating an account
  • One person may create only one account unless otherwise approved
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password
  • Any activity that happens under your account is your responsibility

4.1 Age Requirement

  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and publish content on Rowllr.
  • Rowllr does not knowingly allow children under the age of 13 to use the Service.
  • If you are under 18 years old ("Minor"), you confirm that you have the permission of a parent or legal guardian to use the Service.
  • For payouts, if a Creator is a Minor, earnings must be paid to a bank account held by a parent or legal guardian, subject to their consent and applicable verification.

4.2 KYC & Tax Compliance (Flexible & Law-Based)

Rowllr is committed to complying with applicable tax and financial laws, including Section 194O of the Income Tax Act (India), RBI guidelines, and payment partner requirements.

  • While KYC is not required for account creation, Rowllr may request identity verification (such as PAN card, Aadhaar, or other government-issued ID) before processing withdrawals, if required by law or payment partners.
  • If withdrawals exceed limits defined by tax authorities or payment providers, failure to complete KYC may result in payouts being temporarily paused until compliance is met.
  • For creators outside India, identity verification may be required based on local laws or payment processor requirements.
  • Rowllr may suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information, misuse the platform, or violate these Terms or our policies.

5. Creator Accounts & Creator Rights

  • Any registered user who meets the eligibility requirements may become a Creator on Rowllr.
  • Rowllr may apply an approval or invite system for creators (if required) to maintain platform quality and safety.

Creators get access to:

  • A creator dashboard
  • Publishing and monetization tools
  • Analytics and performance insights
  • Audience management features
  • Earnings and payout system

Creators fully own their audience relationship. Rowllr does not restrict creators from building or communicating with their audience within the platform.

Payments & Payouts

Rowllr provides payout technology to help creators receive their earnings:

For Creators in India:

  • UPI payouts are usually instant and can be requested any day, any time
  • Bank payouts may take 24–48 hours
  • In rare cases (bank holidays, bank server issues, API failure), payouts may take up to 7 days
  • If payment is not received within 7 days, creators can contact support
  • Rowllr is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect bank/UPI details or external banking system failures.

For International Creators:

  • International payouts are processed monthly
  • A minimum payout threshold of USD $100 applies by PayPal, Wire or Local Bank Transfer (Wire & Bank Coming Soon)
  • Earnings for a given month are paid in the following month, usually within 15 days
  • Processing time may vary depending on country, bank, or payment partner

6. User Content & Ownership

  • Creators retain full ownership of all content they create and publish on Rowllr.
  • Rowllr does not claim ownership, copyright, or control over creator content.
  • By publishing content on Rowllr, creators grant Rowllr a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute the content only for operating and improving the platform. This license does not transfer ownership.

Creators control:

  • Who can access their content
  • Whether content is free or paid
  • Visibility and availability

If a creator deletes content, Rowllr may retain secure backups for a reasonable period, including access for users who have already paid for that content. This is only for service continuity and legal purposes.

All rights not expressly granted to Rowllr remain with the creator.

7. Earnings, Payments & Taxes

Rowllr is a creator-first platform where creators earn directly from their audience, similar to running their own website. All earnings belong to the creator.

Rowllr uses third-party payment processors such as Razorpay, PayPal, Stripe, or similar providers to collect payments and process payouts. These providers apply their own processing rules and fees.

Platform Fee & Transparency

  • Rowllr does not take revenue from creators' content.
  • To keep payouts simple and transparent, Rowllr applies a fixed 8% payout processing fee, even though actual combined gateway, tax, and conversion costs are often higher.

This 8% covers:

  • Payment gateway charges
  • GST / VAT on gateway fees (usually 18–28%)
  • Payout processing costs
  • Currency conversion fees (for international payments)
  • Platform infrastructure costs

Rowllr absorbs any additional cost beyond this to protect creators from unpredictable fees.

Taxes

  • Creators are responsible for paying their own taxes, just like on a personal website or business.
  • Rowllr may deduct applicable indirect taxes (such as GST, VAT, or similar) where legally required.
  • International sales may involve additional gateway or conversion charges depending on the country and payment method.
  • Creators always have full transparency over earnings, fees, and payouts in their dashboard.

8. Refunds, Chargebacks & Fraud Protection

Rowllr sells digital content and digital access, which is generally non-refundable once accessed.

Refunds are handled as follows:

  • Refunds are issued only in special cases such as payment success but content not accessible
  • Refunds are controlled by the creator or handled through Rowllr support
  • If content is accessed successfully, refunds are not guaranteed
  • Users may contact support for help in exceptional situations

In case of chargebacks, payment disputes, or fraud:

  • Rowllr may temporarily hold payouts
  • Accounts involved in abuse or repeated disputes may be restricted or suspended
  • Rowllr may recover chargeback losses from future earnings where applicable

All payment gateways are third-party services, and their rules also apply. For more details, users should review the Refund Policy.

9. Community Guidelines & Prohibited Content

  • Rowllr expects creators and users to use the platform responsibly.
  • Illegal, abusive, hateful, misleading, or privacy-violating content is not allowed.

  • Courts located in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction unless otherwise required by law.
  • Rowllr may update this process in the future to include arbitration if needed.

19. Changes to These Terms

  • Rowllr may update these Terms as the platform evolves.
